Stride CRM: taking a SAAS product to the
In February 2014 we were approached by Mike Kamo, the marketing director of Stride CRM. The main task was to redesign and update the product that was on the market for over a year. Stride had a lot of new users but was dealing with a big churn rate. People were moving out quick.
Together with Mike, we identified the main reasons for this behavior: lack of core features for a CRM solution, an outdated graphic interface and poor overall user experience.
After the initial research and brainstorming we created the product architecture, wrote the specs, and designed the Information Architecture. Then we moved to the UX phase and delivered a prototype with over 70 pages. During this whole process, we worked closely with the Stride team and to validate some of the most important decisions.
When we crafted the User Interface Design the main challenge, we faced was to deliver a simple and intuitive user experience that’s easy to understand and use. Most of the CRMs on the market are too crowded and complex. If you worked with good sales people, you know that they hate to waste time with useless "virtual paperwork" in front of a computer instead of being on the field closing sales.
The client appreciated our business approach and was amazed by the look and feel of the new product. Right now the product is in the development phase, and it will be available in a couple of months.
The project took a huge amount of work and required spartan like discipline for our team. We are happy that we designed a great product, and we solved another business challenge trough design.
Stride is the second CRM design project in Triple Magic portfolio.
